The 17 of November we went to the cinema, to watch Cabaret. This drama film was released in 1972 and directed by Bob Fosse. The story takes place in the cabaret of the 30's. Sally Bowles is a singer at the Kit Kat Club, who meets Brian. Brian is an Englishman who came in Germany to improve his german. They fell in love. Before being a film it was a musical comedy, starring Jill Haworth the main character and Joel Grey the master of ceremonies. The story of “Sally Bowles” is one of the six short stories from Goodbye to Berlin written by Christopher Isherwood. After he stayed in Berlin, he created the characters after the people he met there. The novel was published in 1939. The film was inspired by the musical comedy, itself adapted from play I am a Camera by the playwriter John Van Druten in 1951.
