First, this movie was directed by Pedro Almodovar. It starred Cecilia Roth, Marisa Paredes and Penelope Cruz. It was shot in Spain in 1999. It paid hommage to the family of the director composed of women. Like his life, the atmosphere was feminism because there were more women (including tranvestite prostitute) than men. The two only men had the same name Esteban and died during the movie. Manuela was the heroine of the film and its center but Agrado was the source of life. Other characters were lovely. It shows family values and explains what his home is. We visited Madrid and Barcelone . The story was serious and ironic. There are many echoes and repeated scenes. For instance, there were two same scenes with Manuela and an organ to donate. Then, the movie was funny and sometimes increased the tension. It used coincidence, surprise and melodrama. So, it was between tragedy and comedy.
