From
October 5th to January 29th, the Cinémathèque
Française, French film archives, offers a unique exhibition named «
De Méliès à la 3D ».
It chronologically describes the 120
years of cinema, with the first public charged projection by « les
frères Lumière » in 1895, to the 3D now. The film archives
present to the public one of the world's richest film heritage film.
This
trip in time introduces the spectator into history, through an
aesthetic, living and technological journey.
The
exhibition contains unique objects like the first cameras of
Etienne-Jules Marey, the beautiful Technicolor, the first camera used by
George Méliès, and many more...
The
visitor is immersed in a sound and visual experience with different
devices: big screens, functioning machines, projections, sound
effects, but also virtual reality helmets.
We
enjoyed this experience very much !
